One of my proudest projects as a gameplay programmer is my University Capstone project, to recreate the classic NES Super Mario Bros game. Starting from scratch, I utilized C++ and the SFML library to build the game from the ground up. Working on the project has been a valuable learning experience that has taught me the fundamentals of game programming and optimization, as well as futhering my knowledge of C++. Throughout the process, I have gained a deeper understanding of key concepts such as game programming patterns, a-posteriori collision detection and view frustum culling.
